About the project
Youth 4 Coexistence is a European project that aims to empower young people and professionals working with young people to address social intolerance, promote dialogue and empathy, and contribute to the development of more inclusive and peaceful communities.
In a European context marked by challenges such as hate speech, disinformation, radicalisation, discrimination and young people’s disengagement from civic participation, the project focuses on youth work, democratic education and peacebuilding as tools to strengthen social cohesion. Youth participation and the development of democratic competences are recognised as important dimensions of quality youth work.
The project also places young people’s democratic participation and active citizenship at the centre of its intervention. To this end, training materials, democracy tools and educational games will be developed and digitalised, making it possible to address topics such as dialogue, tolerance, civic participation and coexistence in a more accessible, practical and interactive way.
Through education, international cooperation and network building, the project aims to contribute to a Europe where diversity is accompanied by respect, empathy and peaceful coexistence.
