About the project
The Book of Life - Write Your Own Bestseller is a project promoting transnational and cross-sectoral cooperation to develop, test and implement innovative non-formal education methods for young people. By combining different expressive techniques, the project aims to increase young people’s engagement in the life of their communities, encouraging them to take an active role in shaping their own personal and professional pathways.
The initiative supports young people in developing skills that enable them to become more autonomous and plan a healthy lifestyle, both personally and professionally. The project involves around 300 young people from five European countries, providing them with innovative tools for personal and professional development and encouraging them to reflect on their choices, goals and life plans.
A central component of the project is the development of a set of personal and professional development tools, designed as a true “instruction manual for life”. The resources address different challenges that may arise throughout life and present essential skills to help young people face them and build their personal and professional identities.
The project also includes an intensive training programme for youth workers, consisting of six three-hour sessions, with practical activities that can be delivered either intensively or individually. This resource enables professionals to support young people in defining their lifestyle and developing healthier habits.
Finally, an online platform was developed with resources, good practices and opportunities for sharing among young people and youth organisations. The platform also provides guidance and psycho-professional support, strengthening professionals’ capacity to support young people in their development and in building a more autonomous life pathway.
