About the project

The PARE PA PARE – Ready or Not project aims to develop a strong and accessible climate risk culture for all, contributing to a more inclusive, prepared and resilient society. European regions are increasingly facing extreme natural events, such as floods, cyclones and wildfires, which have a particularly significant impact on vulnerable young people. Young people with fewer opportunities, migrants, young people living in rural areas, women and people with disabilities may face greater difficulties in accessing the information and resources needed to understand and respond to climate risks.

At the same time, youth workers need structured tools and methodologies that enable them to address these topics in an accessible, inclusive and participatory way. The project seeks to strengthen the skills and capacities of young people and youth workers living or working in disaster-prone regions, promoting risk awareness education as a priority.

Through study visits, creative workshops, experimentation, digital tools and a transnational competition, participants will be engaged in a participatory and inclusive learning process. The project also addresses the mental health dimensions associated with climate-related disasters, encouraging self-expression, critical thinking, empathy and active participation.

One of the main outcomes will be the development of the multilingual digital educational e-kit Pare pa pare / Ready or Not, designed to support risk awareness education. The project will also contribute to strengthening cooperation between European territories exposed to climate risks and to creating resources that can be used in the education and training of young people and vocational education and training (VET) learners, including those with fewer opportunities.
