About the project
The Digital Hoop project aims to empower young people aged 18 to 30 with fewer opportunities to become social entrepreneurs by providing training, mentoring and digital tools to develop and implement their own ideas. The project responds to the need to create more accessible opportunities for young people to develop entrepreneurial skills and transform ideas into initiatives with social impact.
To achieve this objective, the project involves youth workers and specialised professionals who receive specific training to support young people as mentors and facilitators of learning processes focused on social entrepreneurship. A central component is the development of resources and methods that enable young people to better understand the process of creating and planning a social enterprise.
Key results include a set of guidelines for youth workers, training courses for future mentors and facilitators, and an interactive online social enterprise planning programme. This tool enables users to structure a business idea by creating a mind map, facilitating its visualisation and development. The project also includes social entrepreneurship training for young people and a mentoring programme connecting young entrepreneurs with new participants. In this way, Digital Hoop combines empowerment, digital tools and personalised support, promoting initiative, autonomy and young people’s participation in developing entrepreneurial solutions with an impact on their communities.

Project Management
January 2023 – June 2025 – Italy, Greece, Portugal, Romania and Spain – Implementation of 3 transnational partner meetings for the coordination, monitoring and follow-up of project activities and results. The meetings enabled the partners to assess project progress, define the next steps and ensure effective cooperation among the partner organisations.
Capacity Building Training
February 2023 – October 2023 – Content and Materials – Development of content, materials and resources related to the project objectives, supporting the training and capacity building of the young people and professionals involved.
Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (LTTA)
October 2024 – Bucharest, Romania – Training – Implementation of a training activity aimed at developing competences and sharing methodologies among the partners, with a focus on social entrepreneurship and supporting young people with fewer opportunities.
Mentoring Programme
January 2025 – Alicante, Spain – Mentoring – Implementation of mentoring training aimed at strengthening participants’ competences and preparing mentors to support young people interested in developing social entrepreneurship initiatives.
Digital Hoop Online Platform
July 2023 – April 2025 – Digital Platform – Development and implementation of the Digital Hoop online platform and the project’s main digital resources. The platform provides interactive tools to support young people in structuring and planning their social enterprise ideas.
Dissemination
January 2023 – June 2025 – Dissemination of the project’s activities, results and resources among target groups, organisations, professionals and other stakeholders, contributing to increasing the project’s visibility and promoting the use of its results.
Information Day
March – May 2025 – Organisation of information sessions to present the project, its resources and participation opportunities, raising awareness of social entrepreneurship and youth empowerment.
Final Conference
June 2025 – Hybrid – Organisation of a final conference to present the project’s main results, resources and learning outcomes, promoting the sharing of experiences and dissemination of the methodologies developed.
