The project wants to provide EU project managers competencies and skills in the use of social media as tools and channels for communication of EU projects. Social media are today the most powerful instrument to vehiculate information, promote events and opportunities and a proper and correct use is key for European projects and so people managing these initiatives should have relevant skills to use them.
European projects are scarcely disseminated through social network and project managers do not know how to structure the right message for the right target group diversifying information and create “stories” around projects that would facilitate communication at different levels: scientific and academic if the target to reach is the community of peers, easy to understand and interact if the target to reach is the wider public of EU citizens. To achieve this result the project will make use of innovative and digital tools and a new methodology specifically thought for EU projects will be developed for social media dissemination. How to use twitter during an event or how to write an effective facebook post are just some of the elements that the project will focus on.
The project will develop a training package and an open online social learning platform where the EU project managers will become able to develop their innovative social media skills,
share experiences and practices with other project managers, continue their training activities and through peer to peer learning increase their networks and better promote their projects.
