The EC-NET (European Citizenship Network of Towns) project aims to build a network of associations and municipalities with experience in Europe for Citizens projects (from two different phases, 2007-2013 to 2014-2020). By bringing together these municipalities, civil society groups and their citizens, the aim is to assess the long-term impact of the projects implemented to promote European citizenship and encourage civic and democratic participation among young people. EC-NET plans to create 6 international events, accompanied by interviews and active participation, local working groups and communication of the activities of various projects. In this way, the program’s priorities can be enhanced, particularly in the areas of Euroscepticism, solidarity, active citizenship and intercultural dialogue. Finally, the aim is also to establish some recommendations for the coming years for the Europe for Citizens program.
