Citizens Occupy Rural Europe (CORE) is a project of the Europe for Citizens program involving 5 different countries: Portugal, Malta, Italy, Slovakia and Austria. CORE will directly impact European citizens and aims to empower citizens, with a greater focus on those from rural areas, by addressing the importance of the European Union, their own culture and promoting their active participation as European citizens.
The CORE project will also talk to citizens about the European values we all share, thus giving them the opportunity to learn about their common history and values. Our aim is to make citizens feel closer to and belong to Europe by giving them tools and promoting active participation where they can debate, share and build their own perspectives and continue this thinking for a less Eurosceptic and better future for Europe.
