Community Enterprises & responsible citizenship for young people and women (ComEnter&RC) is an Erasmus+ program project involving 6 different countries: Portugal, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom and France. In the countries of the European Union, areas marginalized by economic activity lead to an increase in unemployment and poverty, which translates into a depopulation of these same areas. This project aims to combat this situation by promoting the development of Community Enterprises through investment in policies and tools to help this process. At the same time, the creation of these businesses is an opportunity to empower women and young people in situations of social exclusion.
As a result, ComEnter will produce an explanatory form on how to start a Community Enterprise, which will include a guide to developing the skills needed to start a start-up, and also a Community Enterprise Development Portal, with the aim of putting the information provided into practice. Through this project, it is possible to increase the participatory and entrepreneurial skills of the target groups for their involvement in the CE sector, namely by supporting the creation and dissemination of CEs. By applying the tools that this project will make available, it will be possible to generate positive externalities, both in terms of integrating people in difficulty and creating jobs in sustainable forms of development.
